Spirit of the Stallion – ‘La Vie En Rose’

LA VIE EN ROSE – Is another stunning piece in the collection of Spirit of the Stallion Horse Series.  The Original painting is Acrylic & Ink on Fine Art paper with dimensions of 50 x 70 cm.  A contemporary styled painting using my signature abstract, ink drip style.  These works are inspired by my passion for the equine form and my amazing visit to the Spanish Riding School in Vienna, Austria. Watching these Lippizaner stallions prance and leave the floor and reach incredible heights, In the capriole (meaning leap of a goat), the horse jumps from a raised position of the forehand straight up into the air, kicks out with the hind legs, and lands more or less on all four legs at the same time. It requires an enormously powerful horse to perform this correctly, and is considered the most difficult of all the airs above the ground.  I’ve tried to re create this move by capturing the horse mid flight, which reminded me of a carousel horse which then inspired me to paint the pink/rose palette.

I have created a print run of 100 Limited Edition prints from this original work, which are signed and numbered by me. They are printed on the finest Hahnemulhe Photo Rag paper 308gsm.  There are three print sizes available  A1/A2/A3 they have a white 2 inch border for you to add a mount if required.

Prints will be shipped in a postal tube for ease of delivery and to protect it in transit.
