Ruby Moose

£100.00

RUBY MOOSE – originated from a stuffed moose head that I came across whilst on vacation in Montreal, Canada.  I was shopping in the French quarter in a store that stocked original skins as clothing and shoes.  It was hanging over the counter, this huge animal head with the most amazing antlers. I knew straight away that this was the first thing I was going to work on when I got back home.  I just felt that look in the eyes, and i envisaged this giant animal roaming wild minding its own business, and I then have to forget the next thought.

The moose is a Canadian symbol that represents the country’s native wildlife. … The name derives from the Algonquin word “mooswa,” meaning “twig-eater.”  Moose can live up to an average of 15 to 25 years, and they are the largest species in the deer family.
