INDIAN PRINCE – A work on paper using Acrylic, ink and pastel.
Horses are definitely one of my spirit animals. My piece Indian Prince is inspired by a trip to India, The colour palette used gave me the inspiration for the name. After spending time visiting Delhi, India. Browsing the markets where the intense colours of silks Sari’s are displayed. Feeling the heat of the sun and seeing the amazing gemstones. The elegance of this stunning stallion with its braided mane and its bridle decorated with Turquoise, gave me the emotion of looking at a majestic prince. When I was painting him I almost felt like I was grooming him with my brush strokes, sometimes I use my hands and that feeling and connection is so strong I could almost feel the muscles in his strong stance.
The Original Painting was painted on 400gsm Fine Art paper 24″ x 24″
There is a limited edition print run of 100 which are signed and numbered by myself. It is printed on Hahnemulhe Photo Rag paper 308gsm. Print sizes available 10 x 10”
